Subject: Announcing The Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine

Dear All Staff,

I am writing to you to inform you of the creation of another department within Mission Kaiju_Love_Care_Futures_02026: The Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine.

The Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine will publish creative fiction, speculative fiction, autobiographical nonfiction, poetry, and photography that relates to the monstrous, to liberation, to queerness, to survivorship, and other areas in which kaiju can help us build better futures.

This Magazine—to be presented digitally until we can secure sponsorships—will be led by your new colleague, Doctor Professor Haysay. Doctor Haysay is a Heisei-era monster expert, literary scholar, and reliable mechanic of all sorts of wheeled vehicles.

While Dr. Haysay is the spokeswoman and editor of the Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine, Director Stevens will have final say in publishing. You may not know this about Director Stevens, but he got his start as a beat reporter of a now-defunct weekly covering the movements of dust bunnies (as he argues: the most ephemeral of kaiju).

More information, such as submission guidelines and publishing schedule, are forthcoming. In the meantime, both The Field Office and The Arts Department are expected to coordinate with The Literary Magazine to ensure that the overall message of the mission is cohesive, that you are promoting each other’s work, and that you don’t embarrass us. All staff except for Dr. Tex are allowed to submit their work to the Magazine, but please keep in mind that your employment with The Kaiju Papers does not guarantee you a slot in the Magazine.

We expect The Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine to be operational and accepting submissions by Friday, July 31. Stay tuned for a Press Release that will include details such as a TKP Literary Magazine mission statement, submission guidelines, and sponsorship opportunities.

Thank you. If you have questions, please refer them to Egg, Administrative Assistant.
