TKP LIT MAG ISSUE No. 1
Presenting the first issue of The Kaiu Papers Literary Magazine!
JULY 02026
Hello,
We are honored to share with you the very first issue of The Kaiju Papers Literary Magazine.
We are thrilled that these four authors chose to share their work with us, and that now we get to share their work with you. The pieces in this issue were crafted with love and they explore themes of migration as a human right, queer and BDSM relationships, grief and identity, and what legacy really means. Please scroll down or click here to access the magazine.
IN THIS ISSUE:
A Dispatch From the Desert, Kari (Marigold) Cadenhead: Reflections on migration, movement, and Kaiju as guides. Featuring artwork and photographs by the author.
m4m, Riley Black: A lyrical exploration of queer and BDSM relationships through the lens of kaiju interactions and magnetism.
Flowers in Ashinoko, naomi estes: In this piece, a wounded and weary Godzilla Junior seeks a place to rest far away from the burdens of a world that he has inherited.
On Monarch & Legacy, Eliseo F.G. McCarthy: A reflection on legacy, love, and responsibility through an analysis of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, written in the style of a TKP Field Report.
Great Protector, Kari (Marigold) Cadenhead: An illustration and poem in tribute to Skeletor, the much-beloved tarantula.
We hope that members of the public will access the Magazine below and feel the love, hope, and grief for themselves. Please follow and support these authors! If you would like to submit your work to the Magazine, find submission guidelines here.
